This weekend I hosted a martini-themed bridal shower for one of my best friends. To those assuming this was a PARTY, you are incorrect. Leah collects hand painted martini glasses and it was supposed to be a classy/sophisticated event. Even though the shower turned out a little different than planned, my painting turned out to be the center focal point.

For those who are wondering, I left the shower 100% sober... it really was about the glasses!

I started my trip, early Saturday (5/24) at 4:00 am, and let me just say, I was determined to not like Arizona. The last time I was there, I was three and we were visiting a craft store my dad was helping open. Therefore, all I could remember were little details, like hot weather and no bodies of water.

When I left Seattle the weather was, of course, overcast, and when my plane landed in Phoenix, it was.... OVERCAST. I had to laugh a little, I mean what's that about?

I met my sister and brother-in-law at the baggage claim and over much to my relief, found my bag right away (49.5 lbs right under the 50 lb max).

All in all, it was a GREAT trip. I had not seen my sister and brother for a long time, so it was fun to catch up. I got to see some old friends, and meet my nephew, Beckett... (below and only 6mo)!

Much to my surprise, by the end of my trip I found myself not wanting to leave. I returned to Seattle, back to the rain, and my lame job, and now I miss the sun and my family! I really missed the sun this evening as I walked back to my apartment from the workout center in the POURING rain (not even exagerating, I was about to build my ark). I could almost hear Seattle saying "welcome home, Trina," followed with a muah ha ha.

I started to "blog" a while ago, but decided that I just wasn't into it. Nothing has really changed, but I feel like I should give it one more shot. SO, here I go...
